50 Positive Affirmations for Moms

Being a mom is the hardest job you’ll ever hold and that’s because you would have to hold down so many other jobs concurrently.

Becoming a mom made me realize I had to also be a nanny, a doctor, a cook, a friend, a babysitter, a judge (yeah, for those moments when you have to quickly decide on a “case” before the house gets turned upside down), a teacher, and every other thing in between.

It can get exhausting, especially as there are no breaks or vacations. However, this role is also one of the most fulfilling ones there is. Nothing beats the joy of having those pudgy arms thrown around your neck unexpectedly in appreciation, of being seen as a sort of demi-god and followed all around, of your words being seen as the gospel (…at least until they become teens), or of those sweet little smiles.

However, sometimes the stress of having to wear these many hats can get to you and at such times, you want to adopt a coping strategy that keeps you going strong. One of such is to practice saying positive affirmations daily.

What are Positive Affirmations?

Affirmations are powerful statements you say to yourself that allow you to control your thoughts and thought patterns. They are carefully constructed so they have an impact on your life.

A study found that over 80% of the more than 50,000 subconscious thoughts we have daily are negative and switching to positive affirmations regularly will help you control these thoughts and change these though patterns.

Saying daily affirmations is the way to go, since you would need a positive to cancel out the negative. Say a lot of these positives, especially consistently and you should have a good thing start to happen when your mind fully believes these sayings.

Here are 50 of such daily positive affirmations for moms that will boost their confidence and strengthen your sense of self-worth.

How to Practice Positive Affirmations?

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to how to practice positive affirmations. However, there are a few rules that will make this habit a success for you. Some of these are flexible and can be bent to suit you, while others should be followed to the latter.

Rules for successful positive affirmations for moms:

  • Find a Pattern That Works for You

This is one of the affirmations that is as flexible as it gets. You should choose a frequency that works for you.

Some people repeat their affirmations daily in their heads, some say them out loud, while a few others prefer to have them written and stuck somewhere visible so they can read from it daily.

Whichever method you settle for, you want to just ensure you are consistent with it and pick only those that resonate with you.

  • Pick a Frequency

You can ensure this consistency by picking a frequency that works best for you.

For me, I prefer to make my affirmation first thing in the morning before my kids wake up, that way I am not distracted. I also never considered making it a daily habit because I knew I would likely never be consistent with this.

Find a frequency that works for you and stick with it.

  • Say Them in the Present Tense

You should also write these affirmations in the present tense so your subconscious mind goes to work on them immediately.
